Annette is currently attending East Tennessee State University where she is working to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in Human Services with a minor in Psychology. She hopes to continue her education by ultimately receiving her Master’s degree. Annette has spent the past several years working in the healthcare field and has developed a sincere passion for helping people!
Outside of the office, Annette loves spending time with her husband and 4 children. She enjoys taking spontaneous road trips and being outdoors. Nearly every weekend you can find her in the Great Smoky Mountains hiking with her family, taking a bike ride at the local park, spending the day at Dollywood, or curled up on the couch reading a good book.
Essence Johnson

Essence Johnson graduated from Salisbury University in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in art. Before joining CTSA, Essence worked at a learning center as an Assistant Teacher for toddlers, and absolutely loved it! She especially enjoyed watching them grow and encouraging them to reach their developmental milestones while building on the things she learned about developmental psychology at SU. Essence has a passion for helping others and loves supporting clients in taking that big step to work through difficulties they may be facing.
In Essence’s free time, she loves spending time with friends and family, expanding her talent for painting and sketching, cooking meals for her family, and snuggling up with her old English bulldog, Zeus.
