Shayonna Escalera, LMSW

Shayonna Escalera earned her bachelor’s degree from Cedar Crest College in 2021, majoring in Social Work, a minor in Spanish, as well as a Child Welfare Certificate. During her undergraduate education, Shayonna led a weekly community outreach program working with elementary and middle school children in the Allentown School District in Pennsylvania. Shayonna previously worked with children in foster care in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. She earned her master’s degree from Marywood University in May of 2022. While at Marywood, she provided therapy to university students. After graduation, she provided therapy to children, adolescents, and families served at an Outpatient Mental Health Clinic in Maryland. In June 2025, she became a Certified Grief Educator after completing a 12-week training taught by one of the world’s grief & loss experts, David Kessler.

Shayonna has experience working with individuals who have diagnoses including: Anxiety Disorders, Major Depressive Disorder, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder. Shayonna particularly enjoys working with clients living with anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and grief and loss. Shayonna’s passion is supporting others through their grief journey while integrating mindfulness-based approaches to find meaning and connection in their lives. 

Shayonna works with children, adolescents, adults, especially those who are part of the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities. She provides a safe environment for children and adolescents to improve confidence, emotion regulation, anxiety, and negative self-talk. Shayonna’s strengths-based, authentic, and non-judgmental approach creates a warm and welcoming space for clients. 

In her personal life, she loves reading, gaming, rewatching her favorite shows, listening to music, and playing the drums. She also finds peace through being outdoors, building Legos, & taking care of her house plants.

Robin-Harris

Robin Harris, LCSW-C

Robin Harris earned her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2019. She has clinical experience in crisis intervention and emergency medicine, specializing in psychiatric assessment, treatment, and crisis stabilization within hospital settings. Robin has worked closely with the Baltimore and DC immigrant and Latino communities, focusing on youth advocacy, safe housing, and immigration justice. She has experience working with diverse populations, including survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking, children and young adults experiencing psychiatric crises, and families experiencing homelessness. Robin also works with individuals seeking treatment for drug and alcohol use and those living with complex medical conditions.

Robin is passionate about helping clients strengthen their inner voice and self-confidence while dispelling shame and stigma. She employs an eclectic, trauma-informed therapeutic approach that incorporates elements from solutions-focused therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Robin especially enjoys working with clients who identify as neurodivergent and has experience with ADHD and Autism Spectrum disorders.

When not working, Robin enjoys spending time with horses, being with her dog, reading fiction, playing video games, and enjoying time with friends and family.

Taylor White is a licensed clinical social worker originally from North Carolina. They earned their bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington in social work and attended graduate school at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, where they earned their master’s degree in social work.

Taylor has worked closely with survivors of domestic and interpersonal violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking, and those who have experienced extensive trauma. They have also worked extensively with the LGBTQIA community and those struggling with identity and sexuality in various settings, including domestic violence centers and group private practice.

Taylor is passionate about working with older teens and young adults, particularly those who are members of the LGBTQIA community, to manage feelings of anxiety, depression, life transitions, and traumatic experiences. They also specialize in working with clients navigating the kink/BDSM community and those in polyamorous relationships. Taylor utilizes an eclectic therapeutic framework to provide a positive and comforting environment for clients to explore their experiences openly and without judgment. Their approach incorporates elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness practices.

In their personal life, Taylor is a certified tarot and oracle reader and enjoys spending time with loved ones, playing video games, reading, writing, and drawing.

Hayley Hinton, LCPC

Hayley Hinton is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree at Towson University and then obtained her Master’s degree from Grand Canyon University. Hayley started her clinical work at Sheppard Pratt’s inpatient Trauma Disorders unit and then transitioned to the outpatient setting at Sheppard Pratt’s day programs, gaining experience with survivors of severe trauma and abuse, including sexual assault and sex trafficking, as well as general stress, anxiety, and depression.

Hayley is passionate about helping adults process their trauma, learn coping skills, and develop healthy self-care strategies to navigate daily life. She employs a person-centered approach, believing that clients are the experts of their lives, while she serves as a supportive guide throughout their personal journeys. Hayley has experience with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, focusing on emotion regulation skills, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, and mindfulness.

In her downtime, Hayley enjoys spending time with her husband, friends, and family. She likes playing games, watching her favorite TV shows, and seizing any chance to travel. For self-care, she enjoys hot baths, exercise, time with loved ones, and visiting her favorite restaurants.

Bria Escalera, DSW, LMSW

Dr. Bria Escalera is a Maryland native from Prince George’s County and a resilience-focused social worker dedicated to helping individuals overcome adversity and embrace authenticity. Having faced and triumphed over educational discrimination and racial bias, she channels those experiences into her work as an advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) across minority, LGBTQ+, and disabled communities.

Dr. Escalera holds a Doctorate in Social Work (DSW), a Master’s in Social Work, and a Bachelor’s degree in Education and Psychology. She is also a Certified Couples Therapy Informed Practitioner (CCTIP) and holds a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Specialization Certification. Her clinical experience spans school-based behavioral health, substance use treatment, and outpatient mental health.

Passionate about empowerment, education, and community healing, Dr. Escalera works with adolescents, young adults, middle-aged adults, and older adults, emphasizing relationship-centered and trauma-informed care. She approaches therapy as a collaborative process grounded in compassion, personal growth, and authentic connection.

Outside of work, Dr. Escalera enjoys spending time with her partner and family, caring for her crystal collection, reading, and relaxing with coffee or tea at local cafés.
